Data Protection Act 1998
The way in which Reed Specialist Recruitment uses personal data is regulated by the Data Protection Act 1998 (the ‘Act’) which came into force on 1 March 2000. The Act implements a European Directive which has been in effect since October 1998.
The information we collect and how we use it
When you use our services we need to know your name, postal address, e-mail address, telephone number.
We gather this information to allow us to process your registration and to provide you with the recruitment services you require. The relevant information is then used by us, and our agents to communicate with you on any matter relating to the provision of the service in general.
We may also use aggregate information and statistics for the purposes of monitoring website usage in order to help us develop the website and our services and may provide such aggregate information to third parties. A cookie is a small text file containing information set by the server and usually intended for the internet user’s convenience and/or for the website to function properly. A server is a computer that delivers websites (among several forms of information).

The internet is not a secure medium. However we have put in place various security procedures to protect your information. All information is secured on our server and is only accessible by authorised personal. Our servers are protected by a firewall.
All of our members of staff, contractors, and agents are under a strict confidentiality agreement. We also keep your information confidential. The internal procedures of Reed Specialist Recruitment cover the storage, access and disclosure of your information.
Sale of business
If this business is sold or integrated with another business your details may be disclosed to our advisers and any prospective purchasers and their advisers and will be passed on to the new owners of the business.
Updating your details
